CONSTITUTION

CANADIAN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE ASSOCIATION LIMITED



The name of the association is Canadian Independent Automotive Association Limited.

The objects of the association are:

 

i.       To encourage support and promote the advancement of the Independent Automotive Service Provider, including their employees and suppliers.

ii.      To advance, encourage, and promote all inventions and improvements in all respects of the Independent Automotive Service Provider, including their employees and suppliers.

iii.     To operate as an association within the Objects, Bylaws and Regulations of the Canadian Independent Automotive Association Limited.

iv.     To foster and promote interchange of thought and ideas pertaining to the Independent Automotive Service Provider, including their employees and suppliers, among the members of the association and among other individuals or bodies inteested therein and to compile and distribut and to foster the compilation and distribution among its members of all information useful in the practice and promotion of the Independent Automotive Service Provider, including their employees and suppliers.

v.      To make representations with respect to federal, provincial and municipal legislation pertaining to the Independent Automotive Service Provider, including their employees and suppliers.

vi.     To seek for the members of the Independent Automotive Service Provider, including their employees and suppliers, equitable treatment in their relation with the manufacturers and suppliers.

vii.    To never support promote, or be a part of a collective buying group for parts, tires and accessories.

viii.  To promote, foster and improve relationships among its members and sponsoring members. To promote and provide training for Technicians, Management and Service Advisors that are members of the Canadian Independent Automotive Association Limited.

ix.     To conduct trade promotion activities including advertising, publicity and the holding of meeings, conferencers, shows and exhibitions and otherwise apprise to the public of the scope and character of the Independent Automotive Service Provider.

x.      Unite the members of the association for their mutual improvement, protection and general wellfare.

xi.     To promote harmonious relationships between the members of the association and all other institutions, organizations, associations, corporations, or persons concerned directly or indirectly with the Independent Automotive Service Provider. 

xii.    To disseminate among the members information on all matters affecting the Independent Automotive Service Provider without limiting the generalities of the foregoing to issue and circularize such publications as may seem pertinent. 

xiii.   To provide facilities for the exchange of information and opinions with the legislative and regulatory authorities concerning all the issues affecting the Independent Automotive Service Provider and the people that they employ within the scope of the association and to carry on negotiations or otherwise deal with such issues without limitations.

xiv.   To establish, subsidize, promote, co-operate with or receive into union, become a member of, act as or appoint delegates for, control, manage, superintend, lend assistance to or do any and all things reasonably necessary to achieve the objects of the association.
